1001 Albums Summary

Thoroughly enjoyed. Do It Again is an absolute banger, plus a whole bunch of other great tracks.

Enjoyed it - it's good hearing some of the grittier Bob Marley tunes and some of the lesser known tracks over the incredibly familiar greatest hits. Was surprised by the tone of Concrete Jungle, the intro felt like something with a lot more darkness and edge than I would expect of Marley. Really good album.

Well, I know this one! One of my favourite albums of all time, and a staple of my teenage years. Some of the most engaging, energetic and fierce rock of the 90s. Incredible stuff.

Another familiar album, but one that I don't get tired of listening to. Every time I find something new in the less familiar tracks, while Sloop John B, God Only Knows and Wouldn't It Be Nice are just joyful every time they pop up. Lovely stuff.

Celebrity Skin itself was familiar, but the rest of the album was more surprising to me. I expected more of the same glossy, trashy pop rock but got slightly more interesting jangly 90s rock tunes. Enjoyable, but not something I would seek out again.

I had a bit of a headache when I started listening to this, and it didn’t help! The jazz cacophony was overwhelming and I wasn’t able to properly enjoy it, as I know I probably would in other circumstances. One I will return to, when I’m feeling a bit less delicate.
