Cosmo's Factory by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Aug 31 2026

Honestly…. I liked this album a lot more than I thought I would. Who’ll stop the rain is probably at the top for me because I find the melody kind of haunting but so beautiful. The 11 minute version of heard it through the grapevine was pretty cool. I think their guitar solos are super listenable. At no point did I think, jeez I can’t listen to this anymore I gotta skip this. And that says something, because I would not usually think of CCR as a band at the top of my discography, but I’m excited to revisit some of these tracks and get a deeper listen.

I’m not sure I’ll return to this album. I’d like to know more about the history, but the songs felt repetitive at times and I found myself wondering when it would end? Unfortunately this isn’t my top genre but I appreciated listening to a new sound

Cloud Nine by The Temptations

I almost didn’t finish this one actually. I thought it would be more like “build me up buttercup” Motown vibes but it was a bit too old school for me

Music in Exile by Songhoy Blues

DNF - but it was kinda vibey to put on in the background!

Dookie by Green Day

This was a great album to listen to. I almost wish I had first listened to it in my punk boyfriend’s car in high school or something so it would’ve hit even harder.. lol. Some great hits on here I’ve heard before, but overall a lot of newness for a genre that I do really enjoy on occasion

Queen II by Queen

A lot of the songs on this album sound super similar. But it was pretty decent listening!
