1001 Albums Summary

6/10, i definitely enjoyed the album but i’m just not a big fan of country. he’s got a really nice voice and this is definitely the best country album i’ve heard (though it’s not a genre i’m familiar with) and completely understand why Young is seen as such an icon just not my kinda thing

3/10, i felt like this album was boring which imo is the single worst crime any album can commit. this album was already disadvantaged because i don’t like classic rock, i think it’s an overly self aggrandising genre. i’ve heard things that are less interesting than this but none of them were the best selling album OAT

i really enjoyed this album, 7/10, best album i’ve been given so far. me and my friends talk about gay a lot because ye good a lot of “best of all time lists” and whilst none of us love him we all agree he’s a very “agreeable” artist, e.g we all don’t mind listening to him and we all understand when he tops a best of all time list, this reenforced that idea in my mind

i couldnt get through this album, i don’t like it’s genre plus it felt weird, minstrelsy is the word i’d use. this was a 1/10 album

8/10. probably objectively worse than the Marvin Gay album but i love techno and this album could serve as a greatest hits for depeche mode

9/10, i loved this album so much, i’ve always known about brian eno (both from working with talking heads and the song by MGMT) but i’ve never listened to him. it was weird and experimental and i loved it so much. definitely gonna check the rest of his stuff out

this is probably the single hottest take i have but 2/10, i just hate pink floyd, this album is a monument to their self aggrandisement. genuinely so bad

like a 7/10, i’m definitely not as hot on this album as most but it’s Disintegration

9/10. MGMT is the first band i’ve been give i already loved, i think self titled is on of the few perfect albums, their debut is IMO the greatest pop record OAT, in an attempt to make the most generic pop songs of all time they made an inreplicable

8/10. whilst it’s no Fever to Tell it’s definitely their second best album, i love yeah yeah yeahs, Karen O has one of the greatest voices OAT.
