Funky, psychedelic, all the good stuff! Man, I didn’t realize how jammy That Lady was. Some extremely nasty grooves on here and incredible vocals.

Outstanding. This is a classic for a reason; so predictive of post-punk, indie rock, and hardcore punk. Smart and classy punk.

Serviceable but generic alternative rock record. I wish it had a little bit more mess to it; it’s a cleaned up version of their contemporaries and would fit right into any college radio rotation. Pleasing melodies, but blasé work.

Would love to give this one another listen. Feel like there’s something special here… Man, the Kinks really ARE the underdog Beatles. Fantastically British pop rock with killer melodic sensibilities.

Tons of respect for Jimi and company, but I’ve always been left a little “meh” after listening to them. Obviously influential and brilliant blues rock guitarist, but it does not resonate with me.

I get what this was going for, but it wasn’t really for me. I’m a bit tired of the “I don’t care about anything and I’m a weirdo” 90s alt rock thing. Some interesting electronic dance beats, but songwriting left a lot to be desired.

Really wasn’t feeling this one. Albums like these reminded me of the type of critics that put together this lists *ahem* Pitchfork writers *ahem*. I often like indie bullshit, but this was hollow and didn’t fully delve into its freakiness. Some of the songs were flat out boring or annoying.
