1001 Albums Summary

Not really my thing, but Jim Morrison's talent is undeniable

Why are the songs so unnecessarily long? It makes the album kind of a long slog to get through. Not really my vibe anyway, but fairly inoffensive dad rock.

That middle section in the last song really pissed me off. Like, please stop. Aside from that it was fairly inoffensive but, once again, not for me.

Gorgeous, delicate, soulful, electric, yearning!! A true artistic genius and a top-tier album. Lyrically it just envelops you in every emotion projected. It is art and vulnerability executed to the highest degree. The only thing that threw me off the first time I listened was the dynamics of the mastering - the quiet bits are really quite low, and the loud bits are LOUD. I suppose this is what you want in a well-mastered album, I am just not particularly used to it. Anyway, a truly talented being that was taken from us far too soon.

It's quite densely packed with sounds, but I don't think it's ever overwhelming which is nice. Enjoyable listen.

Literally the best album ever. Melodically dense but never feels overwhelming - almost always breezy. Very emotionally charged. A masterpiece & one of my favourite albums of all time.
