1001 Albums Summary

I love many of the songs on this record, but struggle with the idea of it as a preconceived album. For me it’s a one off album sidebar by one of rock’s more important bands, and a reminder that Cobain’s songs translate well into quieter arrangements. But not more than that. 3.5

Arguably the first and perhaps greatest roots rock record. Extraordinary stuff that changed the face of music.

Where CBGB punk met 60’s girl group pop, and hey, throw in a dash of disco as well. An infectious professional record with a number of great songs. Among the best of its era. four stars.

A transitional record with some remarkable songs. Queen finding thier way towards Night and Day high points. Worthy of a listen. 3.5
