1001 Albums Summary

A short and haunting tale from a legendary artist who knows his time is coming. The soft instrumental definitely help the voice stand out, not as a cry for help, but rather as an acceptance of defeat, a voice of gratitude at the end of a career. Im so lonseome I could cry and The Man comes around are my highlights, they really show that this album is an introspection on deep feelings, an ode to mortality, redemption and love. It feels like a closure to a legendary carrer, a closure to life, makes more sense considering Johnny Cash died months after the album´s release. Not my favourite genre, but can definitely apreciate the piece´s value.
