Catch A Fire by Bob Marley & The Wailers

An album of good vibes. Loved the guitar solo on concrete jungle

Oct 13 2026

This album surprised me, having known Curtis Mayfield for more upbeat and funky songs, this album had a real groove to it. Billy Jack has a real groovy bass to it that I enjoyed and Hard Times is a classic I’ve heard many times covered by other artists not realising it was a Curtis song.

Iron Maiden by Iron Maiden
Oct 14 2026

Never been a massive fan of this chuggy, scratchy style of metal riffs. There are some cool passages in the last few songs strange world, Charlotte harlot and iron maiden, but album had already lost me by that time

Bridge Over Troubled Water by Simon & Garfunkel
Oct 15 2026

There is some great songwriting in there, but also so chaff. I always enjoyed Bridge over troubled water but the end all gets a bit much for me, seems an unnecessary place for a song like that to build to. Cecilia and the Boxer are absolute classic songs, I was surprised by Keep the Customer Satisfied, Baby Driver, Bye bye bye and why don’t you write me.

Cloud Nine by The Temptations
Oct 16 2026

I felt this album was a bit bland. Weren’t any particularly catchy tunes so songs I’d really dance to which I would expect from the temptations.
