1001 Albums Summary

Damn this shih 90’s as fuck bro. She’s a great singer but some of the vocal inflections are kinda silly paired with slightly cheesy lyrics at times, but overall her voice is insanely impressive and when it fits it really fucking fits and elevates the tracks to amazing heights. All I really want sounds very Madchester.

Classic funk/RnB type shih. Second song a lil political. (Run Charlie run) Overall, there’s definitely some smooth tunes on this album, but as a whole most of these tracks don’t stand out among some of the great RnB tracks. It kind of seems like half filler to me. Not the first album I’d turned to if I wanted to listen to the temptations, but not bad either. Fav tracks: Funky Music, Run Charlie Run, Love Woke Me Up

You already know, dawg. Literally one of if not the best rock albums of all times. Infectious rock’n’roll energy, stunning riffs, catchy hooks. It’s literally everything you’d want out of a classic rock album. Between the cool aura of DLR, the virtuosic guitar prowess of EVH, and the calculated groove of Alex, this album is entirely captivating in vibe and musicianship. Fav Tracks: Jump, Panama, Drop Dead Legs, Hot For Teacher, Girl Gone Bad Least Fav: House of Pain

Very folky album. Mostly acoustic instrumentals with simple melodies. For some songs it adds to the atmosphere of the track and for other songs I start to lose interest in the plainness of the composition. Overall, this album has a real down home, countryside kind of feel to it. Springsteen accurately portrays small town America living and sentimentality. Fav Tracks: Atlantic City, Mansion on the Hill, Highway Patrolman, My Father’s House Least fav tracks: State Trooper, Open All Night
