Live At The Regal by B.B. King
Oct 14 2026

10/13/26 My first live album. Picked from the 1001 Albums Generator in an attempt to start veering off into paths I wouldn't normally take. It has incredibly soulful vocals and guitar strings/instruments, but it's just not my genre. Notable Tracks: - Every Day I Have The Blues - You Upset Me Baby

Birth Of The Cool by Miles Davis
Oct 15 2026

10/14/2026 honestly, jazz is just hard to review as it is more of a vibey feeling experience, it's fun though. you sometimes get frantic pieces that make you feel like you're a character in a black and white cartoon jumping around. other times you get a typical city soundtrack feel to it. i don't necessarily hate any of it, but i also wouldn't go out of my way to re-listen to it. Notable Tracks: - Move - Jeru

i loved the grunge elements, specifically the surprising jumps into loudness. all the songs seem simple in it's delivery/content, making for just an easy listening sesh. only thing i would wish for is less of the slower songs mid way through. Notable Tracks: - Violet - Miss World - Plump - I Think That I Would Die - Gutless

Protection by Massive Attack
Oct 18 2026

10/17/26 (late again) the creeping somber pace of the music is one of the aspects that I loved most about this. legit the perfect music to listen to on a rainy or overcast day at home. Notable Tracks: - Protection - Weather Storm - Eurochild - Sly

Boston by Boston
Oct 19 2026

10/18/26 i enjoyed some of the tracks on this overall, just not something that i'd come back to. Notable Tracks: - More Than a Feeling - Peace of Mind

Either Or by Elliott Smith
Oct 20 2026

the subdued section of music that includes hushed lyrics, simple production, and depressing lyrics rarely ever engage me. this album only perpetuates that feeling in me. the one song that I actually added to my playlist was one that consisted of a livelier sound that felt far fuller than the rest of the tracks. Notable Tracks: - Ballad of Big Nothing

The Atomic Mr Basie by Count Basie & His Orchestra
Oct 21 2026

10/20/26 sound wise, it's incredibly dated. i can't remove my mind from the idea that this is meant for silent films/cartoons. the beginning just throws you in a ruckus of sounds, but it immediately changes its tone on the next few tracks. even when it returns to that high paced sound, i still find it hard to get into it. gonna skip jazz albums from now on. too many jazz albums being rolled on the 1001 generator and i'm barely a few days in. Notable Tracks: - The Kid from Red Bank - Whirly-Bird

C'est Chic by CHIC
Oct 24 2026

11/1/2026 - 3.5 Stars It was surprising to me how much I enjoyed both the dance and slow soulful aspects of the album. Even though a lot of the tracks repeated multiple sections, it still felt fresh and catchy. Mid or last minute switch ups in songs weren't present, so what you're hearing at the start is most likely what you'll hear till the end. Notable Tracks: - Chic Cheer - Le Freak - Savoir Faire - I Want Your Love - Sometimes You Win
