Coldplay-esque indie-rock. "The Bones of You" is fantastic, great weight to the bass and captivating vocal performance. Wish more songs shared the intensity of that track, but I actually enjoy this quite a bit. Production is pristine and clear. A couple of snoozers but good overall.
Initially, I was pretty taken with this. First few songs were great. I found myself gettin bored by the end, however :( A lot of the singles stand on their own, but I'm not in love with it as an album. It tended to be a bit same-y. 3/5
I really dug this. Not familiar with Elbow at all, but there was so much to listen to in these songs. Hard to pin just how many things I'm reminded of listening to this, but overall I really enjoyed it.
This usually isn’t my thing at all, but I got into it alright. It hits the right level of bombast and has some solid production, but I can also see myself never listening to it again, idk C
Ehhhhhhhhhhhh. This is exactly the kind of middling rock that I just cannot jibe with. The arrangements are nice, the instrumentation is tasteful, but I wish it had some guts or bite somewhere, this is just post-trope-ified coffee shop rock, an elevated(?) Coldplay (gross). 1.5
