This was pretty cool. "Can You Heal Us" was really catchy and the title track was a vibe too. Too long for what it was though.

I'm fairly certain I've never heard of this. I would never have guessed this was the dude from The Jam. I liked it ok, but it's not really a style I can get into. Americana just isn't my jam. That's a pun. 3/5

Not bad. It has a very chill feeling, like a lot of the classic rock from the 70s did, but with a more interesting instrumentation. That said, I also feel like this is a little too beholden to the 70s radio-friendly dad rock without really trying anything new like a lot of the classic bands from that period were doing. Mid-tempo 70s pop rock pastiche.

Solid music all in all, but not really memorable or essential, either. Weller has a strong voice and some of these songs have killer hooks, but I won't lie, my reaction was something like "this is it?". Still, may listen to again. C+

I'm liking this a lot. Very mellow, but some great composition and instrumentation. Occasionally some very uniquely dirty sounding synths used along with some big classic 70's sounding arrangements with flute and horns; I love it. He used to be in the Jam; I can sort of hear it knowing that, though wouldn't have connected those two dots without a wiki. This list is my first exposure to both Weller and the Jam, and I'm quite happy for both.
