This is probably the first time I listened to a full David Bowie album. Before, I only knew the hit singles. But I enjoyed the album, and I think I am going to listen to some more.
Definitely one of David Bowie’s best albums, exploring the psyche of his alter ego Ziggy Stardust. Full of absolute classics from start to finish and sounding timeless. Five Years could have been written now (and why didn’t we listen at the time?)
I’ve listened to this album literally 100s of times, including a couple weeks ago for Bowiemas/Bowienalia, and yet I was happy to see it pop up here - and I gladly listened to it yet again - because it’s perfect.
A real masterpiece.
