My second attempt at Elvis Costello and The Band and I'm now 100% sure I won't need another try, I have made up my mind about them. Alternative music with a rock'n'roll feeling about it, usually upbeat and taking you straight to a dance floor. The lyrics don't match up with instruments, being about political and humanitarian themes. But it all doesn't matter in the end, because one thing I can't stand on this album (and any other album by them) is Elvis Costello's vocal. He has such a weird voice that it always make me too conscious and I can't focus on the song at all. He has original style for sure, but unfortunately, I'm not able to appreciate it. 3 stars for good effort, that much I can admit.
