Rattlesnakes
Lloyd Cole And The Commotions

this will be of the 1984 release, not the 1985 bonus edition nor the 2004 deluxe edition. track 1, Perfect Skin track 2, Speedboat i have listened to these six seperate times and every time i zone out midway through the first song and come back near the end of the second song. entirely indescribable. 9/10 and 7.5/10 respectively. track 3, Rattlesnakes: the titular song. the guitar and violin(?) go really well together, good vibes here. 9/10 track 4, Down on Mission Street: honestly, every song so far on this album has been super chill and relaxing. could put this on as background music for anything and have a good time. 8/10 instead of repeating "wow, i zoned out almost the entire song and had a great time just sitting here and taking it in", i'm going to put the following mark: [!]. if you see that symbol, that's what happened to me for that song. that being said, track 5, Forest Fire: [!] 9/10 track 6, Charlotte Street: [!] 8/10 track 7, 2cv: [!] 8/10 track 8, Four Flights Up: [!] 8/10 track 9, Patience: ironically, the song i've been most present for so far, despite being one of the strongest relaxation-wise. the guitar + strings combo is still here and still going very well. 8.5/10 track 10, Are You Ready to Be Heartbroken?: [!] 8/10 overall: 8.3/10 -> 4/5. i'm a little disappointed i couldn't offer better commentary about these, because wow were they good to listen to. might add this to a background music playlist.
