I know it's really popular in some hip-hop/funk/whatever circles, but sampling ancient shit and adding beats... eh? Not my thing. It just comes out sounding all grimy and strange. I know they have ways of describing these beats in the UK - big beat or soemthing? I dunno. Whatever. Nothing against it, but it just doesn't move my dial at all. 2/5.
