#555. Metallica made four of the best metal albums out there in a row, so it's kinda disappointing that they so abruptly changed direction like this. They've made some truly awful music over the years, but this first foray into radio rock is certainly the least terrible. One could argue that this could be a four star album, but I'm going to subtract one because I hate Lars Ulrich so much. 3/5: sellouts
