Before I started listening to 1001 and other lists like Rolling Stone 500 and NME 500 I had never listened to a full Pink Floyd record. I had heard songs and never really saw the need to go deeper. Having now listened to all the classic albums a couple of times I will say that for me this one and Meddle are my favourites. They have a great deal of interest in the layers of sound without being over powered by the lyrics and vocals which for some I know reason I don’t love.
