American Pie by Don McLean

Starts off with "American Pie," which I believed is overplayed, but has an interesting history. "Vincent" is a beautiful song about Vincent Van Gogh and drew tears from me as I have contemplated the purpose of living. The rest of the album has melancholy folk tunes, with "Everybody Loves Me, Baby" throwing off the vibe a little, but resettles as the album finishes.

Parallel Lines by Blondie

Honestly, despite the hits like Heart of Glass and One Way or Another, not that good of an album. Was disappointed:/

Rubber Soul by Beatles
Jan 13 2021

Has some really good songs, and overall the album is good. A nice sort of solo chill album. Not all the songs are zingers, but it is a nice length at 35 minutes.

Nice concept album. Storyline focused on love with songs alternating between songs with Lauryn Hill and a classroom discussing love. One of my favorite 1990's albums so far.

The Slider by T. Rex
Jan 16 2021

"Metal Guru" is an entertaining upbeat first track. Overall feel very mellow with hints of T. REX's psychedelic rock past. Reminds me some other 60's psychedelic rock group, but remember which now.

Sign 'O' The Times by Prince
Jan 18 2021

Definitely displays Prince's range and diversity in songs. I wasn't too much a fan of the album overall, but it did have some good songs with provocative lyrics like "If I Was Your Girlfriend"

First Band On The Moon by The Cardigans
Jan 21 2021

Very positive, yet lower-key alternative rock album. "Lovefool" is a classic from the album, but the other songs blend together nicely and have a good sound to them.

My Aim Is True by Elvis Costello
Jan 22 2021

Starts off with a sick backbeat, and the song "Allison" is great! Omg I didn't know "Watching the Detectives" was from this album! Nice quick listen with nice vibes.

Teen Dream by Beach House
Jan 23 2021

Beach House is a mellow, psychedelic, vibe for stewing in the atmosphere, but not my favorite of their work. Still good, but they hadn't refined their signature musical sound quite yet.

Loveless by My Bloody Valentine
Jan 24 2021

A classic shoe gaze album that defined the genre. Personally not my favorite shoe gaze album (I prefer Cocteau Twins), but still overall decent to listen to.

Crazysexycool by TLC
Jan 26 2021

One of their most famous albums, but not really my type of sound. Decent to listen to, with some classics like Waterfall.

Car Wheels On A Gravel Road by Lucinda Williams
Jun 16 2021

First song is a old indie country bop, and the rest is good country songs if i am in the mood for that relaxing country
