The Stranger by Billy Joel

Awesome mix of storytelling, pop piano, and Americana. I’d heard many of the songs on this album before but never listened to the entire thing in one sitting.

Tommy by The Who
Dec 14 2022

This album was much stranger than I remember. I think if it were released today, many would consider it 'experimental'. I did enjoy it. But some of the songs were a little disjointed from the general vibe of the album.

Awesome mix of storytelling, pop piano, and Americana. I’d heard many of the songs on this album before but never listened to the entire thing in one sitting.

The Köln Concert by Keith Jarrett
Jun 16 2024

Probably one of the best solo piano albums I’ve ever listened to. But solo piano isn’t really my jam.

The Contino Sessions by Death In Vegas
Jun 17 2024

Mostly instrumental, this album starts off a bit strange and disconnected but ends up with a solid stretch of unique rock instrumental songs.

I think if War showed up on the music scene today they would quickly become pretty popular in the jam band community. This album is quite good. It's funk and rock and some of the songs are real bops.

Hejira by Joni Mitchell

I did not enjoy this. It’s was poetry-ish. Kind of spoken word-y. Not bad maybe, but definitely not my thing.
