Good alternative pop album that has roots that go back to childhood for me. Bittersweet but also somber memories; it's perception is highly affected by the past. Listening to the entirety of the album with an adult perspective was enjoyable, though.
- It’s goofy, light-hearted. Reminds me of mgmt a bit. - Not a fan of the voice initially - feels like there’s a story intertwined in the songs. Cinematic/ less musical parts - liked goddess of the hiway - relistening to some of the songs got me more into the sound/ voice
- a very folky Rolling Stones album - lyrics feel kind of scumy and misogynistic - overall decent album, something to put on in the background
-classic RnB - some songs more heartfelt ballads, other more funky rhythms - Didn’t grab my attention really
- Ravaging, growly-er voice - Driving, classic harder rock lines - Not really songs id listen to voluntarily
-Lots of pop-out/ stark electronic sounds - I like 90s hip hop a lot, but this isnt my vibe. - Has humor to it
- Solid prog rock with a taste of psychedelia in the longer songs
- Learned about the genre "folk-jazz" - it's got some funky prog in it but the vocals and mellow melodies are along the line with folk. Very interesting mixture of genres, almost feels surreal. - Good album but not hooking me, which somewhat has to do with the raspy voice
- Interesting stretched voices - classic rock/ pop - definetly see where it's influenced bowie
- So much SOUND! Little place for musical rest...can be overstimulating - Prog/ jazz/ blues/ rock - Excellent instrumentation and skill
