Your Arsenal
Morrissey
Had no idea this guy and his band of way far out of the closet cock lovers did anything that didn't make me instantly vomit up yesaterday's breakfast.
The opener on this one's surprisingly decent rockin' with that heavy take on surf themes in the instrumentals.
The shoegaze elements in #3 were a totally unexpected touch of psych cool. Sadly otherwise the track foreshadows the descent into crap that the album takes from there.
#5's gay country rock marks a bit of a low point of almost no return.
With the exception of #8 and #9's cute vibey instrumental work, the rest of it is - while still head and shoulders above most anything I've heard of his before - mostly varying degrees of insufferable.
If anything, the saving grace here overall is the psychey studio mix touches and samples sprinkled throughout, well that and the uniqueness afforded by the overt campness of it all.

Blood Sugar Sex Magik
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Kiedis' white boy rap only gets more cringey as the years go on, and his out of tune singing is insufferable - only thing the man can half-way do is call and response blues hollers.
Way too much rhythm and way too little actual musical ideas going on here overall. Though there are some stand out tracks, but the rest of it is so tedious the stand outs are drowned out.
Aged real badly/10

The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars
David Bowie
David Bowie had almost no singing range, but consistently insisted on shooting outside of what little he did have. When he doesn't do so here, you can kinda listen to it. But that all added up together makes up like 3.5 tracks out of the 14 on the album. But that stuff still feels like filler. Everything else here is fatally flawed trash with wretch inducing vocals. As an album with less than an EP's worth of material, this shouldn't exist. But then the paradoxically awesome Ziggy Stardust does somehow manage to legitimize its existence.

That's The Way Of The World
Earth, Wind & Fire
Not really my thing. But technically this is just about flawless and I was able to enjoy this way more than any of the albums we got before.
The loungey parts kinda drag it down a bit, but the proggy chords and lines elevate it just as the loungeness gets to be a bit much. Overall an enjoyable listen that I'd probably never have done if not for this site.

Rush
Rush is rush. Flawed but cool classic/prog rock.
If you can look past the cheesy awkwardness, it's pretty stimulating listening.
