Starting off with underground- I’m confused and what is his voice it’s like off brand Louis Armstrong? Huh idk. The second track, shore leave sounds like a Congo cult chant or something? He’s starting to sound more like an emo iggy pop. It’s not bad kinda groovy and chill. Ooh I like the start of the third track Dave the butcher with the organ that’s pretty nice. Circus feel but also creepy circus. But I like it so far. Ok it’s going on still it’s like a two minute jam of creepy organ. Horror story type stuff. Whoa the fourth track is kinda beautiful. Johnsburg, illinois is my favorite so far. His voice is still kinda different I’m still trying to get used to it. OOH THAT PIANO CHORD PROGRESSION IS SWEET. Alright pretty nice pretty nice. Oop switch up to the next one, track five 16 shells from a 30.6. His voice matches this one better. Pretty groovy not very catchy. Actually it’s kinda catchy reminds me of some mining chant or something? I feel like a woodworker working in my shed. Manly. Growl voice he’s growling. Kinda getting long. Also I still have no idea what genre this is I’m still confused. His voice is powerful tho I will not lie. Track 6 now, town with no cheer. BAGPIPES?? Alright. Ok I like his voice in this one it’s like a jazzy song you’d hear walking down a city at night. Also fun fact: google says Tom waits is alternative/indie. Real helpful google. This one is chill it’s pretty nice. Up the hills and a blanket of what? Okay. Ok now track 7, in the neighborhood. Some kinda marching sounding thing?? I’m starting to wonder if this is a concept album or not. It might be? Idk. This one is ok I don’t really know. Was this guy ever in a band or something? I don’t think I’ve heard of him I might listen to his number one Spotify really quick to see if I do. OHHHH. This guitar riff is so familiar. Yes I’ve definitely heard this song before. It’s I hope that I dont fall in love with you. He sounds like a country guy. His voice is so smooth compared to the album I’m listening to. This song is from 1973 and this album I’m listening to is 1983. He must’ve smoked a lot of cigarettes. Ok I skipped it ON WITH THE ALBUM. Track 8 just another sucker on the vine. Accordion now? This one is nice I like it so far. I actually really like how this album has small little interludes of random no words music it’s chill. This one is my favorite musically so far. Screw what I said about that song and walking in the city THIS is the song to do it to. Ok not track 9, cranks wild years. Jazzyyy. This reminds me of Lou reed with the velvet underground with the talking and music in the back. Like the gift or something. Or Coney Island baby? Idk I like this one a lot tho. His speaking voice is very nice. Ok now track 10 is swordfishtrombone. THIS one is jazzy I like that upright bass. His voice is growing on me more and more. Also is that like a xylophone or something? Cool. He really really reminds me of iggy pop I have no idea why. Maybe because the sweet music in the back with the more raspy dark voice. Good contrast. I almost stopped listening to this album after the first two songs but I’m glad I stuck with it it’s very interesting I’ve never heard anything this weird but also groovy? Track 11 down down down starts off with a bang. I love the organ. OOH his voice sounds fantastic in this one. Like early 60s garage rock or something. Also just noticed I haven’t heard much guitar use in this album. Ok I really liked that song that was good. Next is track 12, soldiers things. A lot of soldier talk is he good? Ooh that is some very nice piano and upright bass. He definitely went to jazz school or smth. Not too bad I’m a sucker for moody piano. Track 13 gin soaked boy finally has some guitar. This one is bluesyyy. Ill say it again about jazz school. I really love the guitar in this one. His voice matches it well too. Track 14 troubles braids is weird. Some Congo drums? Speaking voice again too. Hmm idk how to feel about this one lol. Ok now to the final one track 15, rain birds. Has a nice piano ballad to start off. Very pretty. This piano is really great i might learn it honestly. Wow that’s really really beautiful. Ok and that’s the end. A very interesting album and not the easiest to listen to? But also pretty original and I absolutely love the jazzy bluesy feel and piano. Overall I would give it a 6/10 because it was good but not my favorite. Maybe when I relisten to it I’ll like it more. For now that’s my rating.
First songgg singing winds, crying beasts. Lowkey eerie start with the wind chimes and wind and threatening piano. Ooh now some geetar. Gotta expect that from santana. It’s starting to get more groovy I like it. Ooh yes get it bass. Some keyboard. Bling boing boing. Elevator sounding shi. A little bored. I like it but I’m a little bored. Really nice and groovy though I will say. Chill. Also side note I love the album cover like what is it? Idk but I absolutely love it. Psychedelic man. Next one, track two, is incident at neshabur. THIS defines elevator music. Definitely more interesting though now. Is Santana prog rock/psych? That’s the feel I’m getting. Ooh that guitar is fantasmic. So chill and nice. I would listen to this at a spa while getting a massage or something. BASS. Piano do be tinking. Oh shoot sorry it was on shuffle track to is actually black magic woman/gypsy queen and the other one is track 4. I’ve heard black magic woman before and I already love it so yeah it’s just amazing 10/10. Mmmm so good. Whoever’s singing is so smooth too (pun intended). Ok now 3 oye como va. I like the organ. Nice n groovy.
I skipped four cuz I listened to it already but now it’s five, mother’s daughter. I like this one a lot the bass is so nice and the guitar is so awesome I love the tone of it. Ooh yes more singing. Yes please keep it coming. Geeeeetarrrrrr. Next is track six samba pa ti. This is my favorite one musically. It tickles the eardrums quite nicely. Yes I love this one. Track 7, hope your feeling better. Start that organ off with a bang wooooo. Alright this one is catchy some more singing I like it. Some claps now alright. I can’t get over this guitar tho it is actually so great. All improvisation and still awesome. Last song is track 7, el nicoya. What do all these titles mean? Idk. Some chanting and Congo drums. Interesting. Alright all done. I liked the album it was all improvising and chill psychedelic grooving which I liked. I will say though you have to really be in the mood for chill psychedelic stuff to listen to this album and if your not in the mood it’s lowkey boring. Really cool though Ill give it 6/10 stars.
Back at it and today it’s pulpppp. I just listened to different class the other day and I loved it so I’m excited. First track the fear. Ok yes and yes thank you. The eerie backround. THE CHORUS AGHHHHHHEG. OH MY GOSH. I love the yelling in the back and the feeeling in his voice wowwww. The chords. Oooh some theremin I hear??? Ugh I love it so far so good. It’s like Halloween but your depressed because you got dumped. Mmmmmm I love this chorus. The oooohs wow. This meledy is so threatening I absolutely love it. And that guitar?? Excuse me sir?? So good. Next is track two party hard. Springy boingy ooh. Lowkey sounds like 80s david bowie. This ones not too bad. It’s kinda vanilla but I like it. Like robot disco or something. Eh that one was ok. I mean it was good don’t get me wrong but like I said, kinda vanilla. Next is track three I’m a man. Hmmmm never heard that song title before. I like the beginning guitar riff. Ooh yeah that guitar is nice. Ooh ok yes. THE CHORUS. The diminished chord HAHHHh. HAKFKDBHAJ. When he said mahhahahahahan. So great I love this one wow. It’s giving me chills. Ok scratch what I said about the track numbers I just went 1, 3, 8,7. Now I’m technically on 10, Sylvia. THIS ONE HITS. Wow ahhhahahhajajjajajj. Ok so far I love this album so much even though it wasn’t in order (oops). Also pulp reminds me so much of blur (one of my favorite bands) so that’s a huge plus. When he says “what it’s got” I am in love. I love the resolution at the end. OK now it’s track two actually, dishes. Starts off with some 70s sounding keyboard and piano almost like bill withers. This one is happy sounding. This one is a little cheesy but it is very pretty and I like it. Kinda lovey dovey. “I am not Jesus tho I have the same initials” wot. Ok track 4, helped the aged. I like this one so far the bass line is nicee. Sparkles? I mean ok. ELECTRIC GUITAR. Of course some good chord changes it’s expected now. The piano is pleasant. Mmmmm. I love when his voice goes all falsetto. This song is so great. Now track 5, this is hardcore. I love the beat and the trumpets (I think they’re trumpets?) ooh and that one line piano goes perfectly with it. Oh wow this really IS hardcore. Menacing. A minute and a half intro alright. But it was an interesting intro it didn’t seem long at all. THE MELODY AND THE MENACING BACKROUND. The stringsssss ugh yes. When he said “action” whoa. Like one really low not on piano it’s so good. The bassssassasshshjsjabsbjak. Please pulp if I hear one more good chord progression or just good chord modulation I WILL cry. Leave some for the rest of us smh. Now track six TV movie. Something buzzing in the back with acoustic guitar and singing. Almost like your playing guitar in space. Oh there’s the rest of the band. Melts so smooth together. This one is really chill. I can’t even explain what was going on it that song but it was fantastic. Now track 9 seductive berry. First time I’ve heard a girl sing. This one is like you’re in a forest changing for a tribe or something. I think it’s pretty obvious what the songs about based on the title. This guy is so horny. Meh this ones alright. So corny. Yeah this ones weird. It’s like 8 minutes too??? I might skip sorry... yeah I skipped on to the next one. Track 11 glory days. Not the Bryan adams one. This one could totally be used in a coming of age movie. I like it it’s fun. Danceable and fun. Yeah that’s all there really is about this song it’s fun and danceable and I like it. Now it’s track 12. AbHuhahhau. This one is amazing. Can I say something about the chords again?? Gegegv this one is so good. That’s all there is to it it’s amazing and that electric guitar wow. Wowww. This ones giving me chills too. The outro is long but besides that that songs was so good. Ok now last one, like a friend. Ooh yes. Surfy sounding guitar. Kinda sad sounding but pretty. Sparkles again?? THE BASS YES. Some congo drums alright. “Kill me while you smile like a friend.” OOP PICKING IT UP I SEE. HYPEEEEE. Heck yeahhhh. I can’t get over the bass I’m literally gonna learn this song. Ooh yeah I really like this one. Oh wow that was a great song especially to end a great album. Yes the last part is so good. Ah. Ok I definitely rate this one 8/10 because it was SO GOOD but there were like two or three songs that were kinda meh. But overall this albums was so good ugh.

Already have heard it’s a good concept album
I like the specials so I was excited for this one. I feel like their genre is some sort of reggae punk mix and I love it. Message to you Rudy was the first song I found from them and ghost town next. I love ghost town. Im three songs in and so far I really like it. Actually I take it back it’s definitely ska. I wanna dance to all these songs on the beach or something. The baseline in nite klub is fantastic. It’s like a bass solo whoa.

The first song dirge is really cool so far I’m getting shoegaze/dream pop vibes and I like how instruments get added over time. It’s repetitive but in a good way if that makes sense? I’m not a huge electronic and repetitive music fan (aka I don’t like daft punk) but this is actually pretty sweet. We got some synth lead now about five minutes in. It’s becoming crowded sounding but it adds to it so that’s cool. Ok now next song is soul auctioneer. Starting off with a noisy one liner synth that isn’t very melodic but it’s interesting. Yayyy some singing now. This guys voice is different I like it. He almost sounds like an American Damon Albarn. This is like shoegaze gorillaz. Ooh I like this it’s pretty sick. It’s still going alright. Ok I skipped the last thirty seconds lol it was long. Next one is death threat. Robot. Some drums and bass now. Someone going ooh ooh ooh? Idk sounds like barking almost lol. Chilling down a little. Laser beams now alright. I skipped the last minute. Now it’s flying. To be honest I think I would like this album a lot more if I was in the mood for it like chilling at night but right now I’m not really so my review might be kinda swayed. I love shoegaze at night but during the day I don’t have the attention span for it hehe. That being said I skipped this one too a little. Now it’s Aisha and we have aime electric guitar now that’s cool. This guy talking huh. “I’m a murderer” HUH? Ummm ok I think this album is a concept album now. It’s interesting at least. Anyways. Next is lever street. I love how this one starts ooh. Oh yeah this one’s good. I love me some organ. Upright bass possibly?? Yes please. This ones my favorite so far. I actually do like this album but like I said before I need to relisten at night. Yeah that song was cool. Next is Aladdin’s story. Ok I like these basslines tho. Some sax possibly? Sweet. I like this one too. Next and I think last is broken little sister. Noisy ooh. Ok its picking up now. Nice some singing. Getting some sonic youth vibes. Thurston Moore kinda sounding guy. I like this one. Nice alright I’m done. That was pretty cool not something I would’ve listened to on my own but I’m glad I did I’ll relisten to it at night but besides that its cool.
The piano in bridge over troubled water is beautiful wow. The chords are great. I used to not really like Simon and Garfunkel but I recently listened to bookends and I really loved it. I’m glad I’m listening to another album of theirs. I loved that album.
