Depeche ModeStill super menacing synth pop; ghostly vocals and production with the cold future forward production... amazing record, aged well

Classic rock break down at the end of the concept is both hilarious and perfect and December and What You Do To Me both continue to satisfy.
Never listened to this before despite liking air... love playground love and otherwise it’s just a nice instrumental reminder of their best stuff.
Excellent always..
Fucking classic
Still can’t get into steely dan

Not their best but still new order...
It’s been a long time since I’ve listened to this one straight through. Obviously some of their best songs are on here but I’m a little surprised at how well it’s held up.
All timer
I def dislike this but it is an unheralded ingredient of mainstream 80s rock for sure
It’s crazy how much this album dominated jazz as a sound. This now sounds like the baseline of jazz, the starting point- almost passé in the sense that it so thoroughly overtook the jazz sound
Rocks more than I remember, is absolutely bursting with ideas. Def announced them as a major band, albeit an almost alienatingly british band, but is overlong and not as great as their albums eventually get despite having some excellent canonical highlights
