Having no previous exposure to The Doors I listened to their debut album without nostalgia and I still could recognize most of the tracks, that's how influential they are. Very good first album.

Nostalgia. Letterbomb and Homecoming don't really stand out but the rest are really great. A must.

Being disconnected from the political situation that inspired the album and not having the technical knowledge to judge the instruments' execution, the album feels repetitive at times to me.

Cool intros and I liked "Your Latest Trick" a lot, but not much else.

I really liked the vibe of the whole album. "A Change is Gonna Come" sounds a whole lot like "I'm gonna find Another You" from John Mayer and I love it.
