Meh. I've tried several times to explore Jane's Addiction's catalogue and I'm always left thinking "okay". This album changed nothing. Don't get the hype at all.
It's just ok. I almost feel guilty for not liking it more; people I respect rave about Simon & Garfunkel. I've tried, and I just don't get it. Even in their best songs there are awkward segments that just don't do it for me. The sweeping majesty of America pauses to add some woodwind noodling at one point. It's just not that impressive to me.
It's Foo Fighters. You get what it says on the tin. Never really felt strongly about Foo Fighters and this album didn't change my mind. It's perfectly good rock music.
Nearly 80 minutes of Elton…. Not for me. I was happy to reach the end of this particular road. I can respect the musicianship but it’s just not for me.
It’s better than I expected! I liked the opening track and the variety of the album. Some slow crooner tracks and some uptempo, glitzy rock and roll.
Really great album! Got two listens within 24 hours, a rare feat. Released in 1981, it's part of a (new) wave of change in pop music. The songwriting is good and the tempo is enjoyably up-beat. Good dish-washing music.
It wasn't *as bad* as I expected. If Elton John is too theatrical and bombastic for me, I don't even know what to call Meatloaf. Not my jam, at all.
It’s fine. I’m not really a fan of the genre! I remember liking Toxicity in high school. It’s a good album, but not for me, not me as I am today.
Neil Young is usually good and rarely great in my estimation. I liked this album; it had some stompin' tracks and some more low-key tracks. It's not Harvest, but I'm glad I listened.
GOAT
I had no expectations going into this except that I'm usually not a live album guy. What great music! Groovy, energetic, and backed by fantastic drumming by Ginger Baker.
Loved it. a tight, high energy 80s pop record where synth collides with guitar.
Very surprised by this album -- didn't know what to expect. At first I was a little disinterested, but as I listened more I found lots to like. It grooves like Tame Impala with psychedelic influences. The vocals and overall vibe remind me of Charlotte Gainsbourg. It's not an everyday listen for me, but I'll add it to my library. Neat.

5 star album. Hated it the first time I listened to it in high school. Kinda liked it a few years later. \"Get it\" now that I'm in my late 20s

I'm a Dylan fan but not a HUGE Dylan fan. What an album this is. Good from start to finish.
