Beauty And The Beat
The Go-Go'sPretty good, consistently strong tracks. "Our lips are sealed" > "We got the beat". Revolutionary in 1981 I'm sure, though listening in the modern day it sounds a little samey.

tons of bangers, middle lags and gets a little navel gazey.
First time listening, re-listened 1.5 more times after. Heartfelt and haunting.
Sheer variety of influences are interesting but can be jarring. Length of album doesn't help. Title track is still an all timer, along with "Lost in the Supermarket"
would rate 3.5 if I could. some very solid all time hits, 90s style skits and silky r+b style really date the album imo
not a dnb guy
Definite shades of 60s folk which made it sound derivative but lyrics and complexity made up for it
An all time classic, would give a 4.5 if possible. It does lag a bit 2/3 in but there's nothing higher than the highs.
Great album, chiller than and less impactful than Velvet Underground + Nico but I still liked it
Supertramp is great, overshadowed by later albums but still awesome
Really dug it actually. Definitely has that 1999-2001 Massive Attack vibe but a lot more varied and interesting.
