Straight Outta Compton

Great opening track (Son of Sam). I found most of the other tracks to have much the same sound, a bit too in-one-ear-out-the-other. Fine for background music.
Some eternal classics, but by the second half of the album I lost interest.
Grunge light, it's not bad but it's not great either.
Minimalist album, very underplayed. That said, I like the band. A niche album, not for me.
Nice songs, but the sound becomes a bit repetitive. Very much underplayed.
A bit of a surprise that this album is from 1987. It clearly was early and/or inspirational for some of the 90s sound. Shoegaze is an appropriate category.
Not for me. Not a big fan of heavily sampled music, this lacks personality. A bit like listening to a soundtrack for a movie you don't know.
Very lively music, great rythm section. Good songs
Forgettable
I've listened to this album several times before. Not much voice left in him, but what a voice. Great feel for the music.
Probably good back in the day but seems outdated now (2022)
Nice electronic pop songs. Sounds like early The Knife or La Roux. The songs are varied in tempo and rythm but the sound is much the same
