An album from my youth, a holy artifact to indie kids of my generation, to listen to it objectively now is interesting and almost impossible, Is it as good as it's considered, probably not. Was a massively important ground breaking album that has influenced so much since, definitely, yes.
Not for me. having heard Ill Communication back in the day, and hating it, I'll always been told that subsequently they evolved into a serious, more mature and credible act, but hadn't heard anything by them. Just listened to this, better produced yes, but still shouty white boy rap.
Yes, it's derivative, but carried off with Panache, great, fun album
As with the Stones, don't think I've ever sat down and listened to a Dylan album. Was expecting to hate it, dutifully sat down, put it on and realised I knew a lot of it anyway and it was not half bad, again hard to assess the impact it would have had on release

Difficult to rate as so far from my usual listening, I couldn't say if good for it's genre or not, it's not for me, but I didn't hate it

The reason punk was needed. Ok, harmless, but does nothing for me.
I know, he's a genius, brilliant musician, great live performer ( i've even been to see him and quite enjoyed it ) but on record, just not for me ! Too far removed from what I like
