1001 Albums Summary

Initial thoughts: - 👽 baby alien being sung to in the womb by its Icelandic earthly mother - u2 meets Bjork meets radiohead? - Good music to have on in the background to code to. - harmonica solo on hajartad hamast is too bluesy 🎵 🎸 Enjoyed having this album on in the background as I worked! This album felt like it should have been paired with a modern art installation, or was intended to be a concept album of some kind. Really enjoyed the blending of instrumentations and calm melodies and tempos. This was also a nice exposure to some non-english music, and knowing the lyrics could have given me better context on the album.

Excited to see this pop up! fun listening to MJ outside the context of weddings speed demon = animusic vibes feel like the songs that are popular are popular for a reason. Not many of the other tracks are standing out that much to me. man in the mirror best track by far

kinda boring, would rather listen to either the beatles, 100 gecs, or real reggae. started to vibe with this around "Nite Klub"! Realizing that I like the idea of ska more than I actually like ska. Very mixed as this album goes progresses, some of the songs I get annoyed of, but some of them I am vibin' and bobbin' along to, feeling like a rude boy. I think that the album gets better towards the end, or maybe I just got used to their sound.
