Layla And Other Assorted Love Songs by Derek & The Dominos

One of the greatest albums ever created, Eric Clapton at his absolute best. Leaving behind the psychedelia of Cream and the 60’s, Clapton puts together a blues rock masterpiece. The guitar playing on this album is mind blowing, with Clapton’s legendary guitar playing aided by the signature slide licks of Duane Allman. Everyone knows about Layla, one of the greatest rock and roll masterpieces ever composed, but every song on the album is a classic. “It’s too late” may be my favorite song of all time, and this may be my favorite album of all time. It’s that good.

Paul's Boutique by Beastie Boys
Mar 29 2022

Not the greatest album I’ve ever heard by far, but a fun listen none the less. This album definitely shows artistic growth since the Boys first album. The production and use of samples are top notch, and the funny, tongue in cheek lyrics make up for the fact that they can still be a little elementary at times. Overall a good, classic hip hop album.

Music in Exile by Songhoy Blues

Not really into music that isn’t in English so can’t really provide a good review. Music was good but not something I enjoyed to listen to.

A fine rock album. I actually had never heard of this band before listening to this album, I feel like I really hear a strong U2 influence. Not quite my style of rock but a good album nonetheless.

Illmatic by Nas
Apr 03 2022

One of the greatest and most influential rap albums of all time. The classic beats and smooth flow from Nas make it a classic.

Grace by Jeff Buckley

Pretty good album. Not really something I would go back for repeat listens very much, with the exception being the amazing cover of “hallelujah”.
