The College Dropout
Kanye WestAll of the songs are catchy and top-tier. The skits are pretty funny.

The album doesn't really have a strong theme or direction. The songs sound similar and follow a formula. I also can't help but feel these guys are so incredibly uncool, a bunch of prep school guys.
there is a sound that is good but I feel is a little simple and unvaried. I can see why people would love this. Also what’s with the weird track listing
The bossa nova sound of this album is interesting for like 5 minutes but soon becomes annoying. A song will fade out but seem to start up again because all the songs start and end the same. It’s actually funny how noticeable it is that the same drums and guitars play over every song. Something band kids play.
I have this problem with a lot of Blur stuff, but it is really bland and uninteresting. Their albums don't seem to have their own sounds or directions. Nothing interesting or creative, just guitars.
Cat Stevens seems like a hippie, but his politics don't negatively impact this record too much. I love the singer-songwriter tone that is present throughout, but some songs are a little too repetitive and the melodies are a little annoying. My opinion might change in the future, but right now I really like Father and Son. I also like Where do the Children Play and Tea for the TIllerman, although the second one is more of a short closer.
His voice is pretty bad, like a kid trying to sound older than he is. Other than that I was not crazy about the songs, they weren’t that memorable and the ones that were memorable were ruined by his voice.
Super good, love the sound and style of this album. One of my favorites.
too big to fully understand, might revisit later
This guy is definitely Irish
I like this a lot. They might be a little lacking in creativity, but its not a big issue.
I was never there, but I feel like this album captures the feel of a moment of time, that moment being New York immediately prior to 9/11. The glossy and flowing sound of this album is unique and PJ Harvey’s presentation is enticing. One of my favorites
i know what new wave sounds like now
Some of the songs are really good. These guys are seen as heavy metal gods but they sound like a classic hair metal band. There are other metal bands which are far more dark or metal.
alright except his voice is hard to listen to.
don’t like her voice
He's a lot more artistic and experimental than I originally thought, but still, it sounds a little directionless. It's hard to piece together the pieces and view this as a whole thing.
The first half is sort of hard to listen to but I really like the second half. I could see this growing on me though. Beck is definitely artistic and I would be willing to listen more.
not very good
