Led Zeppelin IV by Led Zeppelin
Apr 11 2022

So there it is. The first one. I doubt that my journey could have begun any better than this. An all time great album by a band that I like, but never had the time to sit and listen to the whole album from start to finish? What more could you ask for! It truly is a great listening experience, (although I think it might have been even better if I hadn't known like half the songs already) but there are a few tracks like Four Sticks that didn't do much for me. In fact, before the last song, I had it in the three star zone! But When The Levee Breaks made it sure that it is definetely a strong four. One album down, 1000 to go...

Heaven Or Las Vegas by Cocteau Twins
Apr 12 2022

Not really a fan of this dream pop genre. The songs are fine, most of them have great hooks and interesting composition, but it all sounds way too similar to me, thus making the songs very forgettable. It's one of those - quite nice when you listen to it, but barely remember anything afterwards. So in that sense it falls into "OK" category.

Apr 13 2022

Surprisingly I enjoyed it more than I expected. Thought I would hate this. Not really a fan of the title track because it was way too overplayed at some point in my life. Now I find the song fine. I would say the second half of the album is a bit better, but still I wouldn't call it an all time great. Another OK one

Apr 14 2022

I thought this album was great. Very Beatles'esque, although it makes sense given the time. I like this band way more than the Beatles, because they always seemed to be one step beyond and do something very interesting with their sound or their lyrics. Not a lot more to say, just a great album with wonderfully constructed pop tunes

Under Construction by Missy Elliott
Apr 15 2022

Really hard to say something about this one. Sounds to me like any other R&B and or hip hop album. The beats don't really stand out too much, the lyrics (didn't listen that carefully 100% of the time) are also quite generic rap stuff. Her flow is cool I guess (sometimes). It's also 56 minutes long so it's a real chore to make it to the end. In terms of the songs themselves I guess it's OK, but in terms of what it's doing to me, unfortunately it's a 2/5

Synchronicity by The Police
Apr 16 2022

I thought this one would blow me away. Sadly, only one or two songs besides Every Breath You Take would be worth listening to again. Not really a fan of Sting's voice, it can be a bit grating. I don't know, I guess I at least understand the appeal of this record, there are some good songs and melodies, but as a whole, it's just fine.

Done By The Forces Of Nature by Jungle Brothers
Apr 17 2022

There is something that I am missing here. The rhymes are not that interesting, the beats are forgettable and lack a punch and I am just baffled that this is even here. It has to be a one star even if it has influenced others to make much better rap music in the future. Nothing else to say

Apr 19 2022

It was decent. A breath of fresh air compared to the other rap albums that I had to listen to. The beats were good, some great lines, Flavor Flav could get a bit annoying with his voice and always saying "yeaaaa boyyyy" (uhh...). But other than that, I would say it was good, maybe even worth a second listen

Master Of Puppets by Metallica
Apr 20 2022

It delivered what I expected. Some nice riffs, funny lyrics and all in all a pleasant experience. Nothing much else to say. It's good

Fifth Dimension by The Byrds
Apr 21 2022

It has a very distinctive style, which I enjoy, but I don't know if this soft folk does a lot for me. It's fine

Heroes by David Bowie
Apr 22 2022

Oh boy. Not a fan of David Bowie, was a hater a few years ago. Now, listening to this album it changed my outlook on him. I still think that his pop tunes are not that great, but on the second side of this album there are some great instrumental tracks. All in all, it's surprisingly an enjoyable listen. The second side really saves it for me tho. 3/5

Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd
Apr 23 2022

A great album. This was my second time listening through it and even though I like dark side a bit more, it still is a classic for a good reason. I love the production and the songs, they give you these haunting vibes. Not much else to say, one of Pink Floyds best

Merriweather Post Pavilion by Animal Collective
Apr 24 2022

I don’t like the sound of this album that much, although it does have a distinctive one. The singers voices were also not that great. Musically, there were great ideas but I was not a big fan of it as a whole
