Lynyrd Skynyrd
‘I Ain’t the One’, feels like a song that I wouldn’t skip but wouldn’t go out of my way to listen to. Saying that, if I heard ‘Bellbottoms’ - John Spencer Blues Explosion, then maybe I’d queue this after. Similar blues mix with rock.
It is a great start to the album, with ‘Tuesday’s Gone’ following it.
Favourite song has to be ‘Simple Man’.

We Are Family
Sister Sledge
So many R&B/Disco classics that I would never have found if not for today’s recommendation.
‘Lost In Music’ is by far my favourite, with that smooth riff and heavy bass.
‘One More Time’ finishes on a high, with the symmetry of sounds throughout the album.

Very early Blues, which I haven’t listened to much of. The band play perfectly together.
‘Goodbye Newport Blues’ is 100% my favourite. Very mellow and somber, jazzy. Although I did like ‘Soon Forgotten’ too.

I wasn’t a huge fan of the album. But songs like ‘The Meeting Place’ and ‘My Mistakes We’re Made For You’ were very enjoyable.

‘Sunflower’ is a good open. Vocals remind me of Phil Collins. Quite enjoyable.
His music still reflects key the Jam influences, but his soul/easy listening twist takes it further.
Not what I’d usually reach out to, but a good listen.

Very groovy, with an easy listening sort of tone.
‘Mother and Child Reunion’ has reggae notes which blend well with his voice.
‘Duncan’ is more my kind of style.
A good listen.
