Dookie by Green Day
Jul 08 2022

Not bad. I knew two songs already and I like them. The rest of the album is okay but the songs kind of all sound the same.

Debut by Björk
Jul 12 2022

I can appreciate the influence that Björk had, but she is not for me.

25 by Adele
Jul 13 2022

Some big hits on this album. Adele is an incredible singer/songwriter. The album as a whole is very good, but quite melancholy. I feel like this is the perfect album to listen to on a gloomy day.

The Soft Bulletin by The Flaming Lips
Jul 14 2022

I’ve heard of them before but never listened to anything. It’s very 90s. I didn’t dislike it, but I probably won’t listen to it again.

Crime Of The Century by Supertramp
Jul 18 2022

I know a bit of Supertramp and knew a couple songs on here already. I’ve listened through it before, but this time I gave it more focus. It’s so quintessentially 70s. I love the instrumentation and how it builds throughout the album to culminate at the finale which is also the title track. While it sometimes feels like the lyrics take a backseat to the instrumentation, they come together to make this a memorable album. I’m not surprised this was the breakout album for Supertramp and the one that cemented their sound and influence in the pop genre.

Abbey Road by Beatles
Jul 20 2022

Overall I think the Beatles are overrated. However, this album is pretty solid. I like their more experimental songs. Also Here Comes the Sun is one of my favorites. I can definitely see how this album secured the legacy of the Beatles and remains one of the best selling albums. I may not listen to every song again, but I will definitely keep a few in my rotation.

Jul 21 2022

I knew two of the songs. This isn’t my usual type of music but I actually liked it. I thought it was a kind of abrupt change at track 5, which kind of threw me. I liked the faster songs better than the slow ones, but overall it’s a good album. I’ll probably listen to a few songs again.

Jul 22 2022

This album reminds me of something my grandma would play or sing when we were around. It made me nostalgic, but it was just okay. After the first couple of songs they all sort of blurred together.

Black Sabbath by Black Sabbath
Jul 25 2022

Not my typical type of music but I actually really liked it. It definitely made me want to delve deeper into this genre.

Aug 01 2022

Not really my style but it was good. Definitely understand how this album was so influential to the genre. I’d listen again.

Ten by Pearl Jam
Aug 03 2022

I know a few songs by Pearl Jam and I was pleased to see that most of them are on this album. I really enjoyed it and will definitely listen more. Really solid album.

Bookends by Simon & Garfunkel
Aug 08 2022

It’s okay.

Joan Armatrading by Joan Armatrading
Aug 09 2022

When I started the album I liked it. By the time I got to the end I was kind of bored. It was all pretty similar and nothing really stuck out to me.

Van Halen by Van Halen
Aug 10 2022

It’s Van Halen. It’s exactly what I expected.

Arc Of A Diver by Steve Winwood
Aug 11 2022

Not bad. A little repetitive sounding.
