Vol. 4
Black SabbathSurprised I'd never listened to this. Supernaut and Under the Sun were the standout tracks for me.
Surprised I'd never listened to this. Supernaut and Under the Sun were the standout tracks for me.
Can see how influential it was but because I'm so late to the party it didn't have the same level of effect on me. A great listen all the way but only the last two tracks really stuck out for me.
Already loved Gary Numan's hits but this was the first time I'd really listened to an album the whole way through. Was extremely pleased to hear where the Basement Jax sample came from. Pleasure Principle pleasantly good.
Have to admit I only really knew them as the Fallon house band so was very pleasantly surprised. Musically very diverse, quite jazzy even. And I think another listen to catch the lyrics would be a good idea.
Had heard some tracks but recently listened the first time the whole way through because of the Stranger Things hype and it's a masterpiece. Cloudbusting huge, Running Up That Hill, Hounds of Love. That whole second side run. Love it.
Not much of an albums band are they? Only really one standout track (Stop Me etc) and the rest fairly forgettable.
It's not my favourite Beatles album but it has some real standout moments. Blackbird, While My Guitar Gently Weeps, Dear Prudence, Helter Skelter etc. Will have to give it a 5 but it's probably more like a 4.6.
Meh. Couple of old nostalgic classics but that's it.
Listened in the past, not on this challenge
