I’ll give this my first 5/5, not a single lowpoint on the entire album. It just feels so creative for it’s time and i’m in love with sound and vibe this whole album has (though i understand why it may not be everyones cup of tea). Hard to choose the best tracks but i’d probably go with The great curve and Listening wind
Rage is a band with almost unmatchable energy and intensity, yet their sound is still funky and lively. And of course the political message is important top. 5/5 Top tracks: Killing in the name Fistfull of steel Wake up
on first listen 4/5, it’s a beatiful album but not really the type of music i usually listen to.
Great album but it goes on for a little too long
The vocals on this record physically pain me on almost all songs. The lyrics really don’t help either and whoever decided it should be an hour and twenty should be burned at the stake. Sir psycho sexy is actually torturous to listen to. Under the bridge is still a great track tho. The instrumentals are consistently solid which saves it from a 1/5 Top track: Under the bridge Worst track: Sir psycho sexy
The album slaps
I quite like the album sonically but i can’t really try to ignore who the artist is. Especially not with the lyrics of some tracks like ”We’ll let you know” and ”The national front disco”(i know the latter one is supposedly satire but seeing morriseys own opinions on the topic kinda blurs the line) so i guess i’ll give it a 3/5 but its honestly closer to a 3.5
Imacculate flow on all tracks together with mostly strong lyrics make a strong 4/5. Top tracks: Thin line Remember his name
I don’t really disslike this album unlike other albums that i have rated 2/5 but it just feels so bland and lacking in the energy that i’ve heard in other reggae.
Love the Bowie vibes in the beginning and the whole album is just really solid rock. 4/5 top tracks: Whizz kid Hymn for the dudes
not really my type of music so i can’t really rank it. so it gets a 3/5
not really a fan
not a soul fan 2/5
