1001 Albums Summary

Gimme danger - Screaming fuzzy guitars are great. Not a huge fan of the vox. Penetration - like the groove. Really nice disassociation as the song flows. Vox are much more tolerable. Overall: not my cup of tea. Low relisten value. 3 mics outta 5

Dance - instant classic, dig the surfy vibe Hard to believe the fidelity is so low. Vox are of course unique, but lyrics are pretty juvenile. Short and quick bangers. Dance dance dance, finally a short and sweet guitar solo. Please let with a nice interlude. Overall very boring and very dated. I'm sure it was monumental at the time. 2 outta 5 mics

The first three tracks can easily be the most overplayed first three songs on a album of all time. Horrendous stuff. I almost turned this record off. Why did bullet in the sky get no play? Wow the rest of the album is really bad. If the next few out of these 1001 also bomb I probably won't continue to weed through this mediocrity. 1 outta 5 mics

Pretty good for being different musically but the lyrics make no sense. Seems to glorify death and suicide. The hit song is still annoying. The rest is ok.

Fairly tame 90s pop rock. Nothing earth shattering here. The only reason this album made the list is because of the Paul Simon cover. 2 outta 5 mics
