He's got a good flow, and the music is often compelling, but it didn't wow me. Would help if I spoke the language, I'm sure, but it's feeling like a strong 3 for now

Dreamboat Annie by Heart

Yeah, wow, I enjoyed this. Surprised I never bothered to listen to it before. Magic Man is one of the all-time greats. God, that beginning is so delicious with the almost backward-sounding guitar. There are just so many tasty licks and hooks all throughout this sucker. Great harmonies, terrific musical performances, and of course the singing is unmatched. What a debut, and an obvious choice for inclusion on the official list.

Ummon by SLIFT

I gotta say I have been pleasantly surprised by the user selections. So many bands I've never heard of. I love this band's bombastic, effects-drenched psychedelia. shades of Dungen and Bevis Frond, (and Floyd and Hawkwind, etc. etc.). Great stuff. I hope to hear more, and maybe even see them live, now that I live in FR.

I had to laugh when Oh Yeah came on. It's such a meme it's hard to remember that it was an actual song. Anyway, I dug this. It's so very 80s which would normally not be my jam, but this one works. It's atmospheric as hell. So yeah, pretty cool. Should it have been on the actual list? Hmm... I know there are 600+ of these user submitted albums and growing, so they can't all be on there. Imma say no, but I did like it. And I can think of about 40 included albums that this is way better than.

Very chill. Love the extended jazzy bits. Not sure this belongs on the list, but I'm very happy to have heard it. Made for a groovy road trip.

Good lord did I dislike this. it's possible I was in the wrong frame of mind. Also my wife giving me ugly looks while it played didn't help. but yeah, no thank you.

Yeah, this was pretty cool. It;s definitely my cup of tea. Shades of SunnO))) and Godspeed YBE. Not sure it blew me away, exactly, but that's all right. It was nice to put a sound to a name that I've heard for a while.

Whenever albums are only available on YouTube, it makes for a frustrating listening experience. As such, I was unable to listen to this whole thing. What I did hear, though, was quite something. I admire bands who make wild music like this. I look forward to listening to more from these guys.

I liked this but couldn't bring myself to love it. The music is quite good. The singing is a bit too plaintive for my liking. But this reminded me of Arcade Fire. In a good way.

Chill. Groovy. French. Not mind-blowing, but I liked it.

Yeah, the musicianship is unquestionably great, but this isn't my kind of jazz. The production, the arrangements. It's too ... neat, I guess is the word I'm looking for. Still, there's no denying that this band is tight.

I know it's rough when people shit on your selection, but that's a no from me, dog.
