Parallel Lines by Blondie
Aug 18 2022

Knew the big hits, but enjoyed the other tracks as well. Something I should come back to and listen to more.

Mothership Connection by Parliament
Aug 19 2022

Having listened to The Chronic at an early age, I was aware that most of the beats come from Parliament, but it was still fun to discover and listen to the originals of where they came from. Great Album!

This Year's Model by Elvis Costello & The Attractions
Aug 22 2022

The Beat rules! I don't want to go to Chelsea is classic. Great album overall but not sure I can listen to the whole album at once. Would love to hear any of these songs in mixes though.

Electric Music For The Mind And Body by Country Joe & The Fish
Aug 23 2022

I was not in the mood for this when listening, so that probably didnt help, but I get it. I just feel like I've heard it better in other bands.

If You're Feeling Sinister by Belle & Sebastian
Aug 24 2022

Great Album! Reminds me of college and walking around campus and listening on my old brick ipod I had. I've heard a few songs from this album before, but having only listened to Life Pursuit from them, this was a little lighter but I liked it better maybe... Your Arsenal by Morrissey
Aug 25 2022

This a tough one. I still don't have an answer on where you separate art from the artist. Even before all the more recent stuff, I wasn't the biggest fan of Morrissey the person, but there are Smiths songs that I just love and when hearing them they take me back to a different time in my life. At the end of the day it really has nothing to do with him, and more for my own experience. I never really listened to much of his solo stuff, but this album was pretty good and I really liked a few of his songs. The "Fatty" song I get is tongue in cheek, but still just doesnt sit well. The Age Of The Understatement by The Last Shadow Puppets
Aug 26 2022

Never heard of this before and as soon as I heard the first song, I was like "Is this an Arctic Monkeys ripoff?" Obviously one google search later and I had my answer. I loved those first two Arctic Monkeys albums, and the first couple songs remind me of those, but it seems like halfway through the album kinda peters out and I lost interest. Hunky Dory by David Bowie
Aug 29 2022

I've only heard the big hits from Bowie before so it was good to be able to listen to a full album of his. Some beautiful songs, but overall I'm not sure if I would go back and listen to again? This is probably just a me problem. Songs to Add to Library: Changes Life on Mars? Queen Bitch

Suicide by Suicide
Aug 30 2022

Maybe I was not in the right mood for this, but this was pretty awful. I started writing this before I got to Frankie's Teardrop and then Wow. I can understand how this is influential to a lot of things I do like, but this was still terrible. Songs to Add to Library None

Welcome To The Pleasuredome by Frankie Goes To Hollywood
Aug 31 2022

I was obviously aware of Relax going into this, but didnt realize this album was kinda all over the place. This will be a one time listen, but I didn't necessarily hate it. Another review called it Broadway like and I tend to agree. Songs to Add to Library: None

Machine Gun Etiquette by The Damned
Sep 01 2022

Never heard of them before, but it was fine to listen to.
