Slippery When Wet by Bon Jovi
Aug 19 2022

Pretty typical dad rock music. 3 bangers and the rest blends in fairly well.

Soul Mining by The The
Aug 20 2022

Eclectic is probably the most positive way to describe this. Not a great listen for the modern ear, but a great band name for sure.

System Of A Down by System Of A Down
Aug 21 2022

HEAVY. METAL. Definitely need to be doing something active while listening to this.

Cheap Thrills by Big Brother & The Holding Company
Aug 22 2022

A pleasant album reminds me of being in a BBQ joint in the South. I am a big fan of the guitar work from the late 60s and 70s and this filled that for me.

Natty Dread by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Aug 30 2022

Reggae at its finest. I've never listened to Marley before, but it has the same effect of waves at the ocean, lulling you into a sense of comfort and familiarity.

Gold by Ryan Adams

Blood Sugar Sex Magik by Red Hot Chili Peppers
Mar 26 2024

Other than the hits, most of these songs bleed together and sound like a bar band. The basslines hit, but the rest sounds so similar it was hard to get through.

Peter Gabriel 3 by Peter Gabriel
Mar 27 2024

Wow, stunning album. For something made 45 years prior, the sounds and styles still hold up really well. Very pleased by the different takes on the 80s pop aesthetic, possibly pioneering a genre? Really enjoyed this listen.

Chore of Enchantment by Giant Sand
Mar 28 2024

Wow, didn’t know you could make music in only a speaking voice. Sounds like the music the bar puts on to kick everybody out. Very dull.

Zombie by Fela Kuti
Mar 30 2024

Can’t say I’ve ever listened to Afrobeat before, but pleasantly surprised. Easy to listen to and like the lulling pace of the songs. Very pleasant.
