Brothers
The Black Keys
My first time listening to this album front to back. My awareness of The Black Keys and Auerbach/Carney stems back a number of years and have enjoyed their music over that time, but never done any true deep dives. The third track, Tighten Up, was my first exposure to the band, from the FIFA 11 soundtrack. There is something about the sound of "Brothers" that gives it a timeless feel - you can tell the iconic early 2010s indie/rock vibe right out the gate, but you could also very well be listening to something from decades ago. Great mix of keys and bass lines, notably on tracks such as The Only One. The vocals give a sense of longing and throughout the album tell a compelling story of someone who feels lost and confused, but ultimately knows what they want. Need to get this on vinyl as it is a fantastic album to listen through in one sitting.

The Visitors
ABBA
Yeah this is a fun album. Classic remnants of the 70s/disco/OG ABBA sounds carrying over but introducing the new cheesy vocal arrangement starting to become popular in the 80s. One Of Us is a great highlight of the fantastic bass work by Rutger Gunnarsson. I am glad to have gotten this one under my belt. It's a unique pivot from their preceding albums, and definitely not in a negative way. Everybody loves the hits but this album encapsulates the band fairly well. The closing track Under Attack is a fitting way to end as it touches on the classic poppy sound we want in ABBA, hooking you into exploring the rest of their discography.

Horses
Patti Smith
This was interesting. Not exactly my cup of tea, but also not that far out there for me. I think this is a good album. But other moments had me thinking "I'd be happy to never hear this again". Maybe another listen would do it more justice. But I also wasn't compelled enough to consider another listen for the future.

Zombie
Fela Kuti
I definitely need to listen to more Fela Kuti. I just haven't taken the time to do much of a deep dive. This is a great album, only 4 tracks but each 12+ minutes in length and fun overall sounds. Good background noise - would be a great vinyl to own.

Hypocrisy Is The Greatest Luxury
The Disposable Heroes Of Hiphoprisy
I don't like rap. Couldn't really get myself to listen to much of this. Although the overall vibe seems to not be that bad, just not my cup of tea.

Another Music In A Different Kitchen
Buzzcocks
I liked this album. Never heard of the Buzzcocks before but they have that enjoyable 80s/new wave sound and I will definitely listen to them more in the future. Nothing else to really cover as this album is good, but not anything special.

Aftermath
The Rolling Stones
Vintage Stones. You can hear the blues influence heavy here. My favorite Stones song, Under My Thumb, is a perfect summary of this album and their early work. There's not much else to be said other than the fact this is must listen music for anyone.
