Popular Reviews

Revolver by Beatles

I‘m aware of the fame that the beatles have but the only song that ever did it for me is „Yesterday“. Nothing on this album impressed me personally or stayed in my mind once it was over, not one song made me „listen up“ and it mostly just passed me by. The „beatle voice“ also doesn‘t do anything for me and I find it a little bit annoying if I‘m fully honest. I can hear that there is something, but it missses me completely.

Really not my kind of music but the album has a good flow if you listen to it in one go, songs offer some variety but it still all sounds somewhat same-ish. Hurt is a classic but nothing in here I would add to my playlist.

Can't Buy A Thrill by Steely Dan
Sep 22 2022

Incredibly enjoyable, start to finish. Songs carry on to one another seamlessly for me while changing up just enough to make it feel fresh. Very nice as background music and I will save it and listen to it while focusing more on the tracks on their own.

Deep Purple In Rock by Deep Purple
Sep 27 2022

Not what I usually listen to but enjoyable. Not much else to say for me.

Bert Jansch by Bert Jansch
Sep 28 2022

Very fun listen. The guitar „solos“ in between the songs are a nice „pause“ that are also just fun to listen to. Couldn‘t really determine a highlight since the entire album flows really well while also working if you jump in at any point. Not my favourite kind of music either but I enjoyed this more the longer I listened to it.

The Bends by Radiohead
Sep 29 2022

My iron lung was the highlight, otherwise very good.

Channel Orange by Frank Ocean
Sep 30 2022

Some tracks hit, some miss and both in equal ways. Labyrinth was my favourite but it could've been a liiiittle bit shorter. Overall still a vibe though.

Bookends by Simon & Garfunkel

Pleasant to listen to, past that not much to say.

The Low End Theory by A Tribe Called Quest
Oct 05 2022

What an insane vibe. Gives me nostalgia for a time I was not alive for. Super fun listen.

Oct 06 2022

I was with the album for the first couple of bops and then it turned into 40 minutes of looping elevator music.

Pornography by The Cure
Oct 07 2022

The singing voice didnt do it for me at all and I couldnt wait to get it over with

Oct 11 2022

First album where I will add songs from it to my actual playlist, every track was great and it was fun from start to finish.

Tarkus by Emerson, Lake & Palmer
Oct 12 2022

Good highs but also pretty bad lows, still a fun listen and I will visit this one back every now and then.

Stardust by Willie Nelson
Oct 14 2022

If I hear blue skies one more time I will lose it, apart from that pretty good

Oct 17 2022

Just didn't do anything for me, very boring listen if I'm fully honest.

The Boatman's Call by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
Oct 18 2022

Not bad but also not very good.

Rio by Duran Duran
Oct 19 2022

Fun at first and then got very boring

Goo by Sonic Youth
Oct 20 2022

I was ready to hate this because its Rock AGAIN and the start was already terrible with Dirty Boots, insanely boring to me and was not a fan. But then it kinda turned on me with "Tunic" even though its the classic Title of Song Title of Song Tiiiitle of SOoooooong SOOOOONG it was still somewhat enjoyable. "Mary-Christ" was just fun all around, probably my favourite of the album and then "Kool Thing" was just really good. At this point I was ready to rate this 4/5 and then it stunlocked me with "My Friend Goo", "Mildred Pierce", "Cinderella's Big Score" and "Scooter and Jinx" being the worst shit I've ever heard. After that "Titanium Expose" was too long and not possible to enjoy.

White Blood Cells by The White Stripes
Oct 25 2022

Very solid throughout, but nothing blew me away.

Eagles by Eagles
Oct 26 2022

Not my style. Country is reaally boring

Elvis Presley by Elvis Presley
Oct 27 2022

Very fun, "knew" a lot of songs even though I never heard the original/Elvis version. All songs were great

Cross by Justice
Oct 28 2022

Was surprised I didn't know any of this before considering its exactly what I would usually listen to. A lot of good stuff that is already in my playlist but a few tracks were not as good as I had hoped.

Oct 31 2022

A classic, but nothing outside of take on me really blew me away.

Birth Of The Cool by Miles Davis
Nov 08 2022

Reminded me of both a transition in a movie like "Catch me if you can" and the music you always here in crime drama bar scenes. Very groovy
