My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy
Kanye WestNot my usual sort, I was determined not to like him based on his public persona. There were a few good tracks, they might grow on me

Best served with a big spliff and a comfy chair. H2O gate blues is still relevant after almost 50 years
An undisputed giant of musicians, this is Queen showing their technical prowess, but I didn't find much that really stood out.
Like the soundtrack to my formative years this one pumps from the speakers like a mission from God
Brings back memories of wild nights in my formative years. Black jeans, long hair and cheap beer. Makes me feel all dirty in a good way

"Don't worry, 'bout a thing" says Bob. All well and good but that's not going to cut it at the moment. Music needs to be something you can identify with. Good album, just not the right time
Swinging from classic Bowie songs to the soundtrack for a 70's sci-fi movie, this didn't really do it for me
I'm just not funky enough, groovy enough or psychedelic enough. As much as I'd like to wear the outfits it's just not for me
Peel of the high gloss layers of 80's rock and you'll find Björk! A women I'd prostrate myself before and pledge my undying devotion if only she'd song sweetly in my ear.
Blazing out of the seventies and into your open plan sunken lounge comes Steely Dan. Like car keys in a bowl it sounds good in your mind, but in real life I'd be the one who cycles to the party. Felt this way about the album, a bit of a let down
Ohhh yeah, he's the man. But saying that other than the theme tracks, the other tracks sound a bit like elevator music. Maybe it would be better while I'm making sweet sweet love to my woman
Whining aural soundscapes is what I expected, mostly what I got. Maybe a day isn't enough to get into it, nothing really drew me in
I hear the Ramones, Lou Reed, hints of The Doors. I don't know who influenced who. Nothing here really grabbed me.
The brothers gonna work it out, and yes they did dragging all those GenX's raised on a diet of electronic music in 80's computer games into the clubs and raves. Not their best work but beats galore. Best served with a couple of eccy's on a Friday night
I tried, I really did, but breathy lyrics and synth beats don't do it for me, unless it's Björk, she's awesome.
I love me some old school hip hop. Missed this in the 90's but worth a follow up to see what else is on offer
Beautiful voices and satisfying beats. A nice listen. No idea what they're singing about though.
Catchy energetic post punk. Will listen again
Excellent snapshot of the peak 80's. Sting is Sting at his melodic best, with the Police providing the driving force, maybe it was all that Tantric sex freeing his mind from the base desires. Not on my regular rotation but nice for a listen
