The Bends by Radiohead

I'd heard of Radiohead, i had never heard Radiohead. Because I'd heard of Radiohead, I assumed Radiohead was good, great, awesome even. Radiohead - Bends isnt any of those, to me. It tried to captivate me with good intruments and mix but as soon as the vocals hit, no, abhor, I strongly disliked the monotony, singing like an edgar alan poe poem without the drugs to make it clear. It's a 2.5 for me. (Marking as 2 as I would navigate lower than higher on the scale)

Just a girl and her guitar. This is an album I would not listen otherwise, I'm glad I did, loved it. The pitches and the lyric deliveries for certain parts really convey her emotions My favourite was https://youtu.be/IqtsKkd4zoQ

Fear Of A Black Planet by Public Enemy
Sep 22 2022

I would give it a 4.5 if I could but since I like it more than I dislike it, it's an easy 5! Completely emblematic and full of rage, loved it!

I listened to this one far too many times throughout the years, It's full of nostalgia and moments reminding me of my folks and our lives. Full rose goggles on my rating, easy 5 :)

Deep Purple In Rock by Deep Purple

What a great kick in that beggining! Loved it! Amazed at the age is came out and the shredding they did. But that was mostly it though. Although enjoyable and pretty short, lacks something, which to be fair, could be because of being used to newer mixes. A great 3.8 for sure!

Bert Jansch by Bert Jansch
Sep 27 2022

Quite enjoyable, although a little mellow. I tend to favour higher bpm's but this was a good listen that I would most likely not have had otherwise. A 3.5 for me, but I enjoyed it more than dislike so its a 4!

Channel Orange by Frank Ocean

Although it presents itself with a good mix and a set of lyrics that should hit clear and arouse excitement at the same time I feel like its trying to relay a message that I unfortunately do not understand, which is a shame, as music is to share that message, maybe. Definitely a 4 though, I had fun listening to it.
