Bridge Over Troubled Water
Simon & Garfunkel
A fantastic album that takes you on a journey narrated by the folk harmonies of wandering travelers. Each song has its own story to tell, seemingly separate from the other songs. Simon & Garfunkel's sweet voices invite you to harmonize with them and feel the stories - becoming the narrator. The penultimate song is a live performance, with the audience clapping and laughing at Simon & Garfunkel's performance. It makes you think the album is over, but then it leads into the final song that sets a somber goodbye from these travelers. This album feels like a warm hug saying that everything will be okay.

While the album was enjoyable, it felt like a lot of the same stuff was being repeated on different songs. It's a vibe, but not something I expect to listen to again.

The songs just kept going on and on and on. He lost me during "The $20 Sack Pyramid" where we were literally just listening to a game show??

I don't think there was anything particularly special about this album. Personally it felt like the same tracks over and over.

I really liked this album, it reminded me of my childhood because my dad loves Genesis (I wonder why it reminds me of Genesis hmm...), so I'm definitely accustomed to prog rock. The middle of the album drags a little bit, but was still enjoyable. Some standout songs were "Solsbury Hill" (obviously), "Modern Love," "Down the Dolce Vita," and especially "Here Comes the Flood." "Down the Dolce Vita" gave a cool cinematic experience and "Here Comes the Flood" made me want to hear it live in concert with everyone in the crowd screaming along.

It wasn't interesting. It felt like the same beat was playing over and over again and I would not have been able to differentiate between songs if you asked me to.

There were some cool individual songs on the album, and the overall concept (separated from the songs) was interesting enough, but it wasn't an enjoyable album. There were songs that filled no purpose. The only song I really enjoyed was Miles, which was written by the one and only Miles Davis.

Overall, I liked this album, it was definitely a vibe. I liked the bluesy, guitar-driven direction it was going through with many of the songs.
