Deserter's Songs by Mercury Rev

Never heard of this album or group. - Sounds like a movie soundtrack - Very dreamy and melancholic - During "Endlessly" there's a part that sounds like 'Silent Night' - Opus 40: "Tears in waves, minds on fire"

Mothership Connection by Parliament

Very new style for me, but I think it's well done! Enjoyed the flow of the tracks and it lifted my mood! Nice find!

Fist time listening to this Hole album. Who doesn't love 90's grunge?

Sound of Silver by LCD Soundsystem
Jan 04 2023

Not usually a genre I listen to, but I enjoyed this one. Interesting titles including "New York, I love you but you're bringing me down" and good production.

Back In Black by AC/DC
Jan 05 2023

This is a classic, so it's about time I listened to it. Overall good album, but nothing really stood out to me.

My French isn't good enough to understand the lyrics. The music isn't my style... Not for me.

Nice psychedelic, ethereal sound

Cover: religious theme from the font choice to the cross Music: - 80's sound - synthesizers - Somebody up there likes you: feels like a very long synth song, but it's only 5 minutes. - It's the 80s sound but it didn't catch my interest. Finished the album but won't listen to more from this band.

Sunday At The Village Vanguard by Bill Evans Trio
Jan 05 2026

Haven't heard much from the 60s. It's Sunday and the album has the name Sunday in it. Starts off with piano instrumental, exactly how a Sunday morning should sound like. Every song flows into the next one, only the clapping indicates that a song has ended. It's fine to listen to in the background, nothing exciting, nothing offensive. But I also don't usually listen to anything jazzy, so my perception is an outsiders. How do I give a rating to an album like this?

The Trinity Session by Cowboy Junkies
Jan 14 2026

So glad I found this group! Will listen again.

Takes me back to a few years ago. Love the whole vibe and energy of this album. This album really captures the energy of that time.

Will The Circle Be Unbroken by Nitty Gritty Dirt Band
Jan 19 2026

Bluegrass! The banjos! Keep on the sunny side of life. Oh, it's like 2 hours long? Maybe they didn't have much else to do, so they recorded every rhythm and lyrical composition, that they could think of? For me it's fine to listen to in the background and at a normal album length. But there's too much sameness in the music, that it didn't keep my attention, so I DNF.

Raw Power by The Stooges
Jan 20 2026

I'm not new to this era and have listened to the Stooges before., especially during my reading of punk rock history. This sound is timeless, merging together the anxious, feverous and lustful sounds of an era marked by rebellion and change. A must listen for every rock fan to understand the roots of so many of our favorite bands of today.
