Popular Reviews

There’s a line in monster where Kanye says “I crossed the line. And I’ll let god decide.” Well I think God is going to slap the shit out of Kanye when he reaches the pearly gates. There are a few boppers and some very unique & creative beats. Impressive that he produced the entire record himself. Much less interesting lyrics than college dropout or late registration. He stopped rapping about god and decided he was a god. Fame is a helluva drug 2.5/5

The College Dropout by Kanye West
Dec 16 2022

He’s become a flaming POS, but this is still one of my fav rap albums…

Dirt by Alice In Chains

My dad went to high school with the lead singer and I’ve heard the story 137 times at this point…trying not to be biased. I actually like the grungy vocal style. You can feel the crushing heroin addiction seeping through your headphones. The guitars get old quickly on this album though. Too much nostalgia to not give it a 3

Bossanova by Pixies
Dec 18 2022

Not necessarily my jam but some of the tracks rocked out with some strange but repetitive lyrics. Some of their washed out guitar sounds remind of Modest mouse. Jared, what the hell is Shoe Gaze???? Since the album is from 1990, I can definitely see why they were so influential

L.A. Woman by The Doors
Dec 20 2022

I prefer the snoop dogg version of riders on the storm. But this album will have you blues groovin’ all day and night. The keyboardist slaps all the way through

Smokers Delight by Nightmares On Wax

First few tracks I found kind of boring? But as it progressed I found myself grooving more and more. There are tons of ear wormy sounds that start to tickle your brain as the album progresses. I think I need to relisten under the blissful influence of an edible to fully appreciate it.

Listened to this while on a run. Might have gotten a personal best time, might have also pulled a hammy. Fat boy slim giveth the groove, and fat boy slim taketh the groove

Parachutes by Coldplay
Jan 07 2023

Tried listening but couldn’t stop thinking about my ex :/ Yellow is still a banger, but the album feels pretty dated and boring. Viva la vida was a much better album
