Okay, this album was a roller coaster of emotions and not in a very good way. The best thing about this album is the instrumentals they got that in point but, the vocals and lyrics just don’t back it up as well. Tom Sawyer and red barchetta were so good but the vocals just ruined it for me. There’s a reason why YYZ in which he vocalist says 3 lines got nominated for a Grammy for best rock Instrumental. The last 2 songs I actually liked the vocals but they diminished the quality of the instruments so it just felt a bit odd. Vital signs surprised me since everything worked well in it, I think is my favorite song from it. I guess they saved the best for last. 7/10 would be a 8.5/10 if the vocals did Justice from the start.
Okay, I don’t usually listen to this type of music so I already had bad expectations but honestly this really surprised me. This album makes me levitate with some of the songs. I Miss You and Water Under the Bridge made me feel some type of way. This album focuses more on the vocals than anything and this was a good thing because Adele’s delivery of the lyrics were exceptional. Only knew her because of Hello but this now gave me another view on her. Most of the recognition went to Hello but I feel like she should get more praise for the other songs in this album.
This album wasn’t bad but it wasn’t mind blowing either. Just felt bland in every song. This is the type of music that I would put as background noise while I’m doing something. It didn’t catch my attention in anyway. But they did good with the whole vibe they wanted to create.
This album did meet my expectations. I really liked this, the whole album is very concise and is quite rare to hear a female voice in rock especially in the 90s and she did a good job with her vocals. Pretty good overall.
Honestly, pretty good. I had listened to Lady grinning soul before, but the other songs are also very good. Not my music taste but I can still recognize the talent and work that was put into this album and THAT PIANO!! Pretty good overall.
I'm not a fan of country/Folk music so I didn't like it much. I can appreciate her vocals tho, they are pretty good. It isn't terrible it's just not for me.
First song started off slow, but it got better with each song. Usually not a fan of this music but I was impressed. It is very calming and makes me feel nostalgic even though I have no connection with the band and their music. Pretty good.
Wow, I was very impressed. A vibe from start to finish. I really liked the wordplay on Dancing Choose. The vocals remind me of some songs by the band Gorillaz. Should have heard this sooner.
I got bored instantly, it's just very repetitive. No vocals. Literally sounds like elevator music. Sounds like it would play as background music in a curious George episode. If you are going to make music with no vocals, you have to make the instrumentals sound interesting showing that there is no need for vocals or lyrics.
This was a struggle to find since it's not available on any streaming platforms but luckily Youtube had it. Aside from that, I thought it was pretty average. Not the best, not the worst. The goat noises caught me off guard, but it was silly, so I give it a pass.
