Decent album. I listened through it 1.5 times. Heavier songs like N.Y. I really enjoyed, but there were other tracks that felt like early Coldplay - which is fine, but it did feel a little disjointed. Overall 3/5.
This was a struggle to get through for me. Maybe it's because I was listening during work, but it kept throwing me out of concentration. I understand and can respect that this is an iconic album, but for me, I will not be revisiting it any time soon.
Top tier album. The title track of course is amazing, but love both the music and cinematic symbiosis that plays through - especially to end the album.
When I first learned drums, I would play a lot of System Of A Down. While nothing they did was groundbreaking, they never failed to put together some unique-sounding music. While I don't feel like their self-titled is as iconic as Toxicity, you can hear the early stages of where their sound evolved. Decent album. Not the type of genre I really listen to anymore but enjoyed it enough.
Classic. Nothing more to say.
😔
Really enjoyed this album. Lots of early experimentation with studio production elements with phasing, delay, and of course synthesizers. Didn't expect this from a band like The Byrds. Bonus tracks are definitely them just playing around in the studio, but genuinely appreciated them including it as part of the album as those sounds play such a large role in modern music production.
Fine.
Muy bien
It's Jamiroquai, c'mon. But really, enjoyed the album. Never really listened all that deeply to a Jamiroquai album before and only knew of the popular songs. Good music to work to, not overly stimulating but had enough musicianship to keep things interesting.
It was okay. There were some songs I like better than others. Wasn't a fan of the weird squeaky falsetto vocals at times.
Some classics, some jammers, all around fantastic album.
Fun album early punk-era album.
Just a band on the run.
A classic and staple of influential Jazz. A display of impressive musicianship where each song is more dynamic than the next.
Personally wasn't a huge fan, though I know there are a lot of uncles out there that love this album.
Really enjoyed this one. As someone who honestly has not listened to much Amy Winehouse aside from the hits, I was pretty impressed with the musicianship throughout the album. Solid listen and would revisit it again.
Nice easy listen.
